– Develop and maintain system documentation related to the Oracle SuperCluster hardware and software configuration
– Perform Patch & release management (database, server, network, Oracle SuperCluster)
– Establish appropriate procedures and guidelines to pursue, track and document service requests
– Evaluate overall performance of the Supercluster systems and provide recommendations for improving performance.
– Monitor and maintain critical hardware information for the Supercluster machines
– Monitor and address Supercluster machine alerts
– Monitor and manage infiniband performance using the Aggregate Sensor that takes input from multiple sensors
– Implement and monitor SuperCluster backup and restore (applications and database)
– Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity
– React to potential problems using automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools — escalating to management where appropriate
– Participate in configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system
– Implement and monitor storage backup and restore

– Experience in non-relational databases with Hadoop systems
– Strong understanding of Hadoop eco-system such as HDFS, MapReduce, HBase, Pig, Hadoop streaming, Sqoop, Spark/Shark and Hive
– Strong understanding of Big Data Analytics platforms and ETL in the context of Big Data
– Passion for Big Data technologies and a flexible, creative approach to problem solving
– Working knowledge of setting up and running Hadoop clusters
– Solid track record of building large scale systems utilising Big Data Technologies
– Knowledge on how to create and debug Hadoop jobs
– Experience in management of non-structured non-relational data
– Development experience, preferable across one or more of these languages – Java, Python, Node.js, C++,Scala
– Excellent understanding of scheduling and workflow frameworks and principles
– Experience in NoSQL solutions
